UNIVERSITY COLLEGE DUBLIN AND MALCOLM READING CONSULTANTS HAVE PUBLISHED THE CONCEPT DESIGNS FOR THE UNIVERSITY COLLEGE DUBLIN FUTURE CAMPUS - INTERNATIONAL DESIGN COMPETITION

June 27, 2018

University College Dublin and Malcolm Reading Consultants are running an international design competition to reimagine the global university's campus. University College Dublin’s Future Campus project focuses on enlivening and enhancing the University’s extensive campus, creating a highly-visible and welcoming entrance precinct, as well as a charismatic new architectural addition, the Centre for Creative Design.

Ninety-eight teams from 28 countries entered the first stage of the competition, and a shortlist of six teams was selected by a panel chaired by University College Dublin President Professor Andrew J. Deeks. The shortlisted teams, including Steven Holl Architects, were asked to prepare urban design visions for the Entrance Precinct Masterplan as well as concept designs for the Centre for Creative Design.

Our Design focuses on Place and Space, reflecting on the history and quality of this Place while projecting towards the future with an inspiring Space for the highest level of education.
